This would have allowed me to combine all my doctors underneath the UNC umbrella. But it is my preference to stay with Wake and Dr. Vega.

I didn't get the person name but it was a woman. she work at the front desk, This was my first time at WakeMed and my appointment was at 3:00pm but I was told in an email to be there at 2:30pm. So I can in a little before 2:30pm and check in and during my waiting time, the lady can out behind the desk and asked me did I check in and I told her I did and I also told her that I was told to be there by 2:30pm. She was concern about me siting out there so long. I didn't get call by the nurse until after 3:00pm. She was very nice and I thank her for her concern.

Whenever I visit Wake Med, I notice how kind the staff is. Everyone is so attentive and professional. Dr. Vega is a wonderful doctor. He listens to any concerns that I have. When I lived in New Jersey, I had this one Doctor Who made me feel so bad I cried about one hour in the parking lot.

Dr. Vega genuinely cares about his patients and always treats me with courtesy and respect. Before surgery he explained the procedure and when I asked questions he assured me the procedure was very safe. His assurance helped put my fears at ease. Dr. Vega was interested, listened incredibly to everything I said, and was interested in discussing other medical concerns I had that were outside of his specialty — I was very surprised that he was that interested in listening and counseling me on matters outside of cardiology, and that he was so patient and unhurried, asking me if I had any further questions, and again I apologetically brought up a non cardiology concerned and he was in no way uninterested and referred me to Raleigh neurology about something unrelated to my heart, and discussed with me my theories and description about another unrelated condition, and supported me having a followup with my ENT, who had been excellent in my first visit, but dismissal and hurried in the second visit. His courtesy and interest level were amazing to me. He said I had a strong heart. In many ways, I do, not just my physical heart, so he validated that. Thank you Dr. Vega! Mucho gusto!!!

Dr. Vega is an amazing doctor! He was so kind to me and explained everything so well! He cared about what was going on with me and listened to everything I had to say and I didn't feel rushed at all. Most of my other doctors I feel very rushed and like they don't care. I felt like Dr. Vega genuinely cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone! He is the definition of a great Doctor and every doctor should be like him!

I can not say enough about the care I received. My nurses were above great, Kevin and Keith. On Saturday Connor was at my call and always ready to help. There were 2 others, can’t remember names.
