Jewell Whitmer, CNM

Jewell Whitmer, CNM is a Certified Nurse Midwife with interest in holistic healthcare for women of all ages.

At a young age, Whitmer felt a calling to Midwifery. She began her journey with a career in nursing during 2002, working as a nurse in Neonatal Intensive Care & Labor and Delivery units. Whitmer then returned to school where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Midwifery. Since then, she has focused on her passion of midwifery by providing care for women during well-woman exams, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. She has experience working in the home, birthing center, and hospital settings.

Whitmer believes in building partnerships with women and their families by listening and providing information, guidance, and counseling in a shared decision-making process.

Her professional interests include integrative/functional medicine, health promotion, nutrition, and movement. She is also an advocate for low-intervention childbirth, normal physiologic birth and breastfeeding.

In her free time, Whitmer enjoys spending time with her family, the great outdoors, yoga, meditation and crafting.
