Jessica N. Schloesser, DO, FACOG

Dr. Schloesser is an Obstetrics & Gynecology physician. After completing her Doctor of Osteopathy in 2013, she began her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. While completing her residency, she served as Administrative Chief Resident, and earned several awards for her outstanding care and leadership.

With a mother and grandmother who are both nurses, it is not surprising that Dr. Schloesser chose a career in the medical field. She has known from the age of 10 that she wanted to be a physician, and though her view of what that entailed has changed, the commitment has only grown stronger. Her interest was piqued by obstetrics and gynecology when she started medical school.  She likes that obstetrics and gynecology provides the opportunity to care for women throughout all phases of life, and she cherishes the opportunity to be able to form lifelong bonds with her patients. 

Dr. Schloesser chose to become an osteopathic physician due to the more holistic approach to medicine, and the belief that the body has the ability to heal itself. She tries to incorporate these beliefs into her practice of medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Schloesser enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband and family.
