Jerica Hartford, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC

Jerica Hartford is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a primary clinical interest in cardiology. She is fascinated by the essential role the cardiovascular system plays in supporting every other organ system. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular disease prevention, early recognition of cardiac conditions, management of acute and chronic cardiovascular illnesses and lifestyle modifications to improve long-term heart health.

Hartford earned her bachelor’s degree from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC, and her master of science in nursing with a concentration in family nurse practitioner studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Greensboro, NC.

Her patient care philosophy is grounded in treating every patient with the same dignity, compassion and respect she would want for herself or a loved one. She strives to provide culturally responsive, evidence-based care while recognizing that each patient’s experiences, values and healthcare needs are unique. She also believes in empowering patients through education and shared decision-making, so they feel heard, informed and actively involved in their care.

Outside of work, Hartford enjoys spending time with her family and dancing, particularly to hip-hop and R&B music.
