About Me
Dr. Jennifer Whitham is a pediatric cardiologist with clinical interests in congenital heart disease, fetal cardiology, and functional cardiac assessment. Since Dr. Whitham began her medical career in 2006, she has worked in numerous hospital settings in pediatric and pediatric cardiology departments. In addition, she served as an assistant professor of pediatrics in the division of pediatric cardiology at the University of North Carolina.
With her dedication to caring for her patients, Dr. Whitham received the “High 5” award for outstanding customer service, and the ACC Fellow in Training Travel Award. She has published numerous articles related to pediatric cardiology, and regularly lectures at medical conferences, and to residents and medical students.
Dr. Whitham strives to connect with families on a personal level and believes in treating all of her patients as she would treat her own children. Dr. Whitham knew early in her medical career that she wanted to work with children, and has enjoyed helping children with heart disease survive, thrive and live up to their fullest potentials.
In her spare time, Dr. Whitham enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, running, swimming, crocheting, cooking, and photography.
