Janet Lucien, DO, FAAP

Dr. Janet Lucien is a pediatric endocrinologist with clinical interests in diabetes, early/delayed puberty, growth, and adrenal disorders. Dr. Lucien received her medical degree from Ohio University and completed her pediatrics residency at Dayton Children’s Hospital. She is fellowship-trained in pediatric endocrinology from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Lucien feels it is an honor and a privilege to care for children. She finds it very rewarding to provide medical care, support, and teaching to patients and their families as they navigate a new diagnosis and living with a chronic illness. Dr. Lucien feels that it is important to partner with a child's parents and caregivers to make treatment decisions together. She enjoys seeing her patients routinely at follow-up visits and developing a strong relationship with the patient and their family. When not at work, Dr. Lucien enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, exercising, and spending quality time with her husband and beagle. Dr. Lucien also enjoys exploring the beautiful state of North Carolina.
