Jacob Handy, NP

Jacob Handy is a board-certified nurse practitioner with clinical interests in pulmonary medicine. He, too, has a passion for infectious disease and specialized medicine. He began his postsecondary education at Trident Technical College, School of Nursing in North Charleston, SC, where he earned an associate’s. He completed his bachelor’s degree at American Public University System in Charles Towne, WV. Thereafter, he earned a master’s degree through Vanderbilt University, School of Nursing in Nashville, TN.

Handy sees his relationship with patients as a true partnership, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in health care. He is committed to fostering an environment where open communication thrives, ensuring that both patients and their families are well-informed about their health options. This approach empowers them to make confident decisions regarding their care. By prioritizing transparency and teamwork, Handy creates a supportive atmosphere that not only enhances the patient experience but also builds trust, allowing for a more personalized and effective treatment journey.

Outside of work, Handy is ever in pursuit of new knowledge and skills. He particularly enjoys learning about new cultures and languages.
