About Me
Emily Shama Barnes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS). Her clinical interests include women' s health issues, such as recurrent urinary tract infection (UTI), overactive bladder, stress and urge urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction and bladder pain syndrome.
Barnes provides compassionate, individualized, holistic patient-centered care while building a trustworthy partnership with each patient. She offers a safe space for patients to discuss sensitive health concerns and collaborates to develop a treatment plan that suits their needs while improving their quality of life.
When not at work, Barnes loves spending time with her family and cheering for her children during their various sporting events and activities. She also enjoys reading, trying new restaurants with her husband, traveling, attending live music concerts and riding roller coasters.
