About Me

Emily Miller is a certified pediatric nurse practitioner who provides care, education and treatment of respiratory problems to infants, children and adolescents. Her special interests include asthma and medically complex pediatric conditions. She joined WakeMed in 2008 as a registered nurse on the pediatric acute care unit, and she started her nurse practitioner career in 2012 on that same pediatric unit. Miller received her master's degree (MSN-CPNP) from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in Wilmington, NC.

Miller has always desired a career working with children, and she feels lucky to have found such a rewarding one in caring for children and their families.

In her free time, Miller enjoys spending time with her husband and two girls. She enjoys watching a variety of sports and spending time outdoors.

Mrs. E MILLER, NP was very supportive about my concerns she answered all my questions and I was extremely happy with our action plan moving forward also I love how she interacted with my child during the visit nothing but smiles and a warm welcoming from her and all the staff

She is exceptionally knowledgeable and sweet with my boys. And she truly cares about the outcome and for the best interest of my sons’ asthma. I really felt well taken care of by her and the rest of the team.

We love “Dr. Emily”! Honestly, everyone there is great. Warm and cheerful and so good with my 2 year old! Facilities are nice and new and clean! Just wish she had an office closer to North Raleigh, but that’s a minor thing!
