About Me
Dr. Ted Hodges is a board-certified cardiologist with clinical interests in management of coronary artery disease, lipid disorders, congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation. His special interests include valvular heart disease and multimodal cardiac imaging, specifically echocardiography and cardiac CT. Dr. Hodges received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is fellowship-trained in cardiovascular medicine from Wake Forest Baptist Health.
Dr. Hodges approaches patient care as a communicator and feels that his most important task as a physician is to effectively communicate complex medical information in a way that his patients will understand. Dr. Hodges feels that with a clear understanding of their health conditions, he can work as a team with his patients to create plans to improve their cardiovascular health.
When not at work, Dr. Hodges enjoys trying new restaurants, cooking with his wife, running, cheering on the Tar Heels, and spending time on the Pamlico River with friends and family in his hometown of Washington, NC.
