Cynthia Amster, PA

Cynthia Amster is a physician assistant with a clinical interest in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma and obstructive sleep apnea.

Amster strives for a collaborative approach, so patients understand they are in control of their health care. She provides patients information to make informed decisions and supports them in decision-making. Her goal is to speak in easy-to-understand language in order to explain complex ideas. Additionally, in an effort to provide the most supportive patient education, Amster provides handouts individualized to a patient’s condition, if desired, so patients may review later to improve adherence to treatment and understanding of the plan of care.

Outside of work, Amster enjoys watching her two adult daughters become capable, kind women; volunteering for the Wake County Holiday Cheer program; bowling; practicing yoga; reading; and participating on her HOA board.
