Connor Pratson, MD

Dr. Connor Pratson is a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist with clinical interests in hearing loss, chronic ear infections, dizziness and balance disorders, as well as eardrum and middle ear issues. He also enjoys treating patients with nasal and sinus issues, cancers of the head and neck and common pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) disorders. Dr. Pratson completed his undergraduate education at Duke University Trinity College of Arts and Sciences in Durham, NC. He finished medical school at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, Greenville, NC. He returned to Durham to complete his residency and fellowship training (with emphasis is otology and lateral skullbase surgery) at Duke University Medical Center.

Dr. Pratson believes the best patient care begins with taking the time to understand each patient's concerns, symptoms and goals. Through education and open communication, he works closely with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans, while incorporating a shared decision-making approach to ensure positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.

His practice is grounded in evidence-based medicine, with an emphasis on maximizing the benefits of medical therapy whenever appropriate before considering surgery. When an operation is the best option, he ensures that patients fully understand their diagnosis, treatment options and expected outcomes, so they can move forward with confidence. He strives to care for every patient with the same compassion, honesty and respect that he would want for his own family.

Outside of work, Dr. Pratson enjoys weightlifting, backpacking; spending time with his wife and dog, Rosie; and cheering for the Duke Blue Devils.
