Carmin Kalorin, MD

Dr. Carmin Kalorin specializes in the treatment of all forms of urological cancers, including bladder cancer, prostate cancer, kidney cancer and testicular cancer. He is highly experienced in both traditional and robotic urological surgeries. He maintains excellent collaborative relationships with WakeMed, university-affiliated institutions and community-based medical oncologists, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated patient care. 

Dr. Kalorin earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He attended medical school at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. His internship was completed at the United States Naval Medical Center (Balboa Hospital) in San Diego, CA. He served in the US Navy as a Flight Surgeon in California, Florida, and Jacksonville, NC. He completed his residency in Urology at Albany Medical Center.

He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association, the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association, and the Endourological Society.

Dr. Kalorin is married to Laura Helton-Kalorin, an internist and pediatrician. They have three children.  His interests include spending time with family and tracking medical and surgical performance to identify strategies to improve patient experience and outcomes.
