About Me
Dr. Brandon C. Burnsed is a highly skilled general neurosurgeon with extensive training in both endovascular and open vascular treatments, making him one of only a handful of neurosurgeons in the country with this dual expertise. Since joining Raleigh Neurosurgical Clinic, Dr. Burnsed has provided exceptional care to patients in the Triangle area and beyond. He is board certified in neurosurgery and brings a broad spectrum of expertise to the practice, encompassing general neurosurgery, robotic-assisted spinal fusions and advanced neurovascular procedures.
Originally from Savannah, GA, Dr. Burnsed attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, on a baseball scholarship, where he excelled both athletically and academically. He earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA, and went on to complete his neurosurgical training at the University of Mississippi in University, MS. Further honing his skills, he completed a prestigious two-year endovascular and cerebrovascular fellowship at Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Burnsed has authored numerous publications on neurosurgical topics and is committed to advancing the field through innovation and patient-centered care. His expertise in robotic-assisted spinal fusions complements his neurovascular specialization, allowing him to offer comprehensive treatment options tailored to each patient’s needs.
