Anna Conterato, MD

Dr. Anna Conterato is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician with clinical interests in lung cancer diagnosis, lung nodules, COPD, smoking cessation, EBUS/bronchoscopy, pleural diseases/effusions and critical care. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Dr. Conterato completed a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Conterato’s approach to patient care is that of a partnership. She tries to engage in as much shared decision making as possible. Dr. Conterato’s goal at the end of every patient encounter is for her patients and their families to have a clear idea of the current situation and the path forward. She also believes in being as upfront as possible, as the backbone for any partnership is trust. Outside of work, Dr. Conterato enjoys spending time with her friends and family, her two dogs (a basset hound and a German shepherd), traveling, reading fiction and exploring anything related to art and design.
