I am new to the area and found difficulty in finding a primary care provider. The difficulty was frustrating. According to the website, none of the providers were accepting new patients. Luckily I was able to get an appointment with Anita. She was wonderful.
She was outstanding - very kind and sincere. Spent significant time with me. Asked several questions, and truly listened to my answers.

Anita shared all the possible side effects of medications, her advice on how to proceed along with all options, and was caring and took her time. I greatly appreciated this as I have been met with rushed doctors more often than not and was hesitant coming in due to that, but she was able to change my mind and I left feeling cared about rather than just a check box.

I feel that she cares about me and my health, she shows excellent medical knowledge about my conditions,, she makes strong referrals for my medical needs outside of her internal medicine scope, and she demonstrates excellent knowledge about Medicare requirements for reimbursements as well! I just retired and moved into the area, and I was concerned about finding good medical care. I was a nurse for 43 years, I ran a major cancer center in NY, I know how important good medical care is, especially as I age. I feel very good about the care I will receive under her guidance., and I refer all the other retirees in my 55 and older community to her.
The concern about my health and treatment going forward was outstanding. The fact that I can ask questions and Anita is willing to listen and answer my questions is excellent. She's never seemed rushed, she explains everything in detail. I feel very comfortable with her. She puts my over thinking mind at ease.

Yes, Anita Makowski is an outstanding pcp. She took my health concerns seriously and listened to me, the patient. There was also a time when I was in such excruciating pain that I could barely advocate for myself and Anita listened to my husband when he advocated for me. I am very blessed and grateful to have her as my pcp. The other medical staff that work with Anita (Tomi, Tam and Candy) are amazing. Tomi has been wonderful to me during a pain crisis I had recently. She reassured me, told me that she cares and has given me several hugs. Those hugs meant the world to me.
