Andrea Penny, NP

Andrea Penny is a board-certified nurse practitioner who began her career as a registered nurse, working in the medical surgical step-down unit for five years and then labor and delivery for the next nine. She completed her master’s degree and doctorate degree in family nurse practitioner program at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY. She then earned a post masters in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program at Liberty Nursing University in Lynchburg, VA. She went into pediatrics upon graduating and is now in primary and urgent care. 

Providing evidence-based, compassionate care to all her patients and their families, Penny enjoys getting to know her patients and their families and building trusting relationships, treating them as family. She is passionate about pediatrics, women’s health and urgent care and is enthusiastic about educating patients and their families, so they can be knowledgeable and participate in their treatment, making informed decisions and having optimal outcomes.

Outside of work, Penny enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, family and friends. She enjoys watching her girls play softball. She loves her fur babies (one black lab and two cats). She spends as much time as possible at the beach, taking in the view, collecting seashells and taking walks on the beach. She also attends and volunteers at her church.
