About Me

Dr. Alugya Suliman is board-certified family medicine physician with clinical interests in broad spectrum family medicine and chronic care, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and chronic kidney disease. She began her postsecondary education at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC. She went on to medical school at University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts and Nevis in the West Indies. She returned to the United States to complete her residency through Duke/Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, NC.

Dr. Suliman treats each patient with respect and compassion, providing supportive, up-to-date, evidence-based care to enhance her patients' overall well-being.

When not at work, Dr. Suliman enjoys vegetable gardening, cooking and baking.

The doctor was very kind; she listened to all my concerns and took the time to ask me questions to obtain more pertinent information. She explained everything in detail, explaining my options regarding treatments, referrals, etc. She answered all my questions. I never felt ignored or rushed to finish, as I have with other healthcare providers. I would recommend the doctor to family and friends.
