About Me
Dr. Allen Marshall is an ear, nose and throat specialist who is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. His clinical interests are pediatric and adult ENT problems, including sinus disorders and sinus surgery, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, parotid gland surgery, hearing loss and common ear disease. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their sons, who keep them very busy. In addition to enjoying time with his family and spending time outdoors, Dr. Marshall is an enthusiastic fan of ACC sports and also enjoys outdoor activities-jogging, golf, hiking and sailing.
Education and Professional Development
Dr. Marshall received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Davidson College in Davidson, NC. He completed his residency in the department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at UNC.
Dr. Marshall also is an Assistant Professor in the UNC Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. He has been published in journals such as Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Hearing Research, The Journal of Neuroscience, and the EMBO Journal. Dr. Marshall has presented at national conferences including the annual meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the annual meeting of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology.
