When the unexpected strikes, WakeMed Urgent Care is here to help with exceptional, compassionate care.
WakeMed Urgent Care has been serving the Triangle area for more than a decade, offering a broad range of medical services for adults and children age 4 months and older. Walk-ins are always welcome, but you can always visit us online or call to get estimated wait times. Our goal is to accommodate you as quickly and conveniently as possible.
Our estimated wait times are based on a two hour average and are updated every 30 minutes. Estimated wait times reflect the time from check-in to care being initiated by a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant. But, since no two people - and no two injuries or illnesses - are alike, your wait time may be longer or shorter than estimated.

When to Visit an Emergency Department:
WakeMed Urgent Care should not be used as an alternative to emergency medical treatment. If you are having a life-threatening emergency such as chest pain, stroke or major injuries, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department – WakeMed offers emergency services in many convenient locations in Raleigh, North Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek and Garner, as well as the area’s only dedicated Children’s Emergency Department.
About Check-in Express
**Please note: Check-in Express assigns you a time slot (based on availability) and reserves your space in line. While check-in express reserves your spot in line for urgent care, it does not guarantee you will be seen at this exact time due to patient volume and the varying urgency of medical needs.
