RALEIGH, NC (August 21, 2025) – WakeMed and Chapter, an independent Medicare advisor, have announced a collaboration to provide educational information and guidance for all WakeMed patients who are eligible for Medicare.

Existing Medicare patients and those who are newly-eligible can now receive no-cost consultations with Chapter’s dedicated Medicare advisors, who will provide up-to-date information about plan options. Chapter’s advisors can also assist with completing the enrollment process for patients who are transitioning to Medicare coverage or changing plans during Annual Enrollment, October 15 through December 7.

Chapter’s advisors will work with patients to determine whether their current plan meets their health care needs and help navigate changing plans when appropriate.

This collaboration highlights WakeMed’s continued commitment to ensuring access to patient-centered, high quality health care to all members of the community. This no-cost educational resource reinforces our dedication to supporting the individual Medicare journeys of our patients.

“Navigating Medicare plans can be overwhelming, with many factors to consider,” said Gayla Harvey, vice president of Managed Care Contracting for WakeMed. “At WakeMed, we are committed to helping our patients maintain access to the high-quality care they have come to expect from us. By leveraging Chapter's technology and expertise, we aim to provide our patients with the information they need to choose original Medicare or the Medicare Advantage plan that best suits their needs."

“Chapter utilizes a state-of-the-art platform to guide patients through the Medicare plan selection process. WakeMed’s mission to provide affordable, high-quality health care aligns with our own vision at Chapter. Together, we can help individuals navigate the confusing world of Medicare, ensuring they get the right coverage," added Cobi Blumenfeld-Gantz, CEO of Chapter.
