MRI Technologist Apprenticeship

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging program prepares students to become MRI technologists. These skilled health care professionals know how to use magnetic energy fields to produce images of the human body.

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with classroom instruction to prepare workers for highly-skilled careers. Workers benefit from apprenticeships by receiving a skills-based education that prepares them for their career. Apprenticeship programs help employers recruit, build, and retain a highly-skilled workforce.

Expectations:

• Maintain good academic standing throughout apprenticeship
• Follow all WakeMed policies and procedures
• Invest in continuing professional development and learning
• Learn and implement the WakeMed Behaviors and Tenets

Requirements:

• Must be in their last year of their dedicated program
• Must be in an accredited magnetic resonance imaging program
• Must be able to provide verification of enrollment in the programs
