Hemant Solomon, MD, FACC, RPVI

Dr. Hemant Solomon is an invasive cardiologist with special interests in vascular and venous disease diagnosis and management. He performs diagnostic cardiac and peripheral catheterizations, and implants pacemakers and defibrillators. Originally from England, Dr. Solomon attended medical school at King’s College Hospital, University of London, UK. His medical training also took him to Africa and to the United States, where he has practiced Cardiology since 2008.

An avid researcher, Dr. Solomon has published many articles in peer review journals during his training at Stanford University, CA and at The Mayo Clinic, MN. He has presented at educational conferences and international meetings on a variety of cardiology topics. His work includes studying erectile dysfunction as a precursor to cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Solomon’s personal passion is flying as he wanted to be a fighter pilot in the Royal Air Force. However, taking care of people comes naturally to him and finding his way to practice medicine has provided him a purposeful life.

“I treat patients as if they are my family,” said Dr. Solomon. “Everyone is the same in that we’re all seeking the same things we value in life. Our emotions and concerns are the same no matter your background.”

Dr. Solomon is a humanitarian who has worked in Kenya, Liberia and Cambodia. He continues to do mission work in Haiti and India. He is married, has three boys and lives in Cary, NC. In his spare time, he enjoys flying, swimming, running and cycling.
