Biography

Dr. Samareh Hill is a board certified pediatrician with WakeMed Physician Practices. She serves as the Medical Director for Pediatric Weight Management and the ENERGIZE! Program. Her professional interests include research on childhood obesity and developing community programs and partnerships aimed at preventing childhood and adolescent obesity.

"Encouraging a healthy lifestyle for my young patients is my goal as a pediatrician," she said. "To achieve this, I strive to understand the culture and values of each child and practice family-centered care."

Dr. Hill received a medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, and she completed her pediatric residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She completed a clinical fellowship focused on pediatric obesity at Nemours A. I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE.

Dr. Hill earned a Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University College of Population Health, and she received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

In her time away from work, Dr. Hill enjoys traveling, hiking, growing her own food and spending time with her husband and three children.
