Robert Nunoo, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Dr. Robert Nunoo is a trained Colon and Rectal Surgeon and General Surgeon, specializing in laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Dr Nunoo’s specialty interests include colon and rectal cancer, colon polyps, Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, and a myriad of anorectal diseases including pilonidal cysts, hemorrhoids, fissures and fistulae. He performs laparoscopic gall bladder and ventral hernia surgeries.

He began his medical career in 1998 and has spent time working at hospitals in Sweden, the UK and Connecticut. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Waterbury Hospital, a Yale affiliate, before serving as Chief Resident. He went on to complete fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery and Colorectal Surgery Research. Most recently, he served as vice chief of staff, and clinical assistant professor of surgery. He shares his knowledge by publishing articles and making presentations at surgical meetings across the country.  

Dr. Nunoo enjoys playing soccer and badminton, running and mentoring youth. He also speaks five different languages.
