Dr. Jarvis removed my IUD during the visit even though I was scheduled for an annual exam to establish care. She was patient with me while I decided whether to proceed or wait, she explained potential after effects, and she quickly performed the procedure with very minimal pain. Thank you!
My child was very nervous about her first visit with a gynecologist and has a lot of distrust of adults and strangers in general. Dr. Jarvis was perfect. She made my child feel listened to and comfortable. She walked her through the process and didn't do anything without forwarning and consent. I deeply appreciate the care taken in building trust and not talking down to her.
Honestly, the major highlight was not feeling rushed but rather feeling heard and seen. Oftentimes appointments in healthcare one can spend more time waiting and less time being seen and then feeling rushed when you do see a physician. While this practice still haunts me, my anxiety was quelled once I realized that everyone was there to support me in finding a conclusive diagnosis to bring clarity to a 6 year long mystery even with previous physician oversight and inquiry within Wake; I was able to relax

Every obgyn I have went to throughout my adolescence and adulthood steered me away from voicing concerns about my body and well-being. Dr. Jarvis and her team were very thorough and took the time to listen to concerns and find solutions. Often times as a younger woman, who is not pregnant, I felt overlooked or like my symptoms were instantly dismissed by practitioners in the field. I felt at ease right away in the office and knew with Dr. Jarvis I’m finally on the right track to feeling better!

Dr Jarvis was definitely one of the best providers I’ve seen at Wake Med. She actively listened to my questions, gave thorough responses, and had excellent bedside manner. She explained things to me at just the right level- I’m a nurse but also a patient so I felt like she went into just the right level of medical detail, risk, etc. She also brought up some items for me to make sure I’m dealing with in order to be ready for our new baby (like finding a Pediatrician), which was great because none of the other providers have brought up stuff like that and I had assumed I would get a few more reminders or guidance on those items as I progressed through my pregnancy. I really appreciated my visit and the info I got from Dr Jarvis.
