Dr. Ann Becker is board certified in Urology and, within the American Board of Urology, she has earned Diplomate status. A native of Baltimore, MD, she attended McDonogh High School in Owings Mills, MD, before heading to Virginia for college.
Education and Training
Dr. Becker received her medical degree from the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She completed her internship (was selected as "Intern of the Year") and residency at the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in 2000, and honored as the Praecis/Gerald P. Murphy Scholar at the American Urological Association's Annual Meeting in May 2005.
Dr. Becker has previously been an assistant professor of urology at the Medical College of Georgia and a clinical instructor at the Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a member of the American Urological Association, and has made presentations at the association's national meetings. Dr. Becker has published articles in journals such as, theArchives of Surgery, Molecular Endocrinology, and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology, and Metabolism. She has also contributed articles to the e-medicine website.
