WakeMed Opens Primary Care & Urgent Care Practices in Cameron Village

RALEIGH, N.C. (November 16, 2020) – WakeMed is growing for good health. WakeMed Primary Care and WakeMed Urgent Care have expanded with the opening of new practices at 601 Oberlin Road.

WakeMed Primary Care – Oberlin opens its doors on Monday, November 16, and WakeMed Urgent Care – Oberlin is set to welcome patients beginning November 19. In addition to the new brick-and-mortar location, both practices will offer virtual care options and video visits.

The expansion to the Oberlin Road area marks the continued growth of WakeMed’s network of providers, clinical specialties and convenient locations – enhancing access to services that help improve the health and well-being of the community.

WakeMed first announced in 2018 plans to redevelop and renovate properties at 601 Oberlin Road and 505 Oberlin Road. Across the street at 505 Oberlin Road, work is underway on a new building that will be home to six WakeMed specialty care offices. The building is slated to open in spring of 2021

The Oberlin Road location is the newest addition to WakeMed’s growing roster of primary care and urgent care locations and offerings. WakeMed Primary Care and WakeMed Urgent Care offer a wide range of adult and pediatric services for patients with multiple locations and specialty services. With the addition of the new 601 Oberlin Road practices, WakeMed now has 16 primary care locations and nine urgent care practices, making it easier than ever to find health care close to home.
