RALEIGH, N.C. (January 19, 2022) – Dr. Saroj Neupane is serving as the principal investigator for a new clinical trial designed to evaluate the effectiveness of a new drug-coated balloon for patients with in-stent stenosis.

WakeMed Heart & Vascular was recently the first site in North Carolina to enroll a patient in this important new study for patients who have had prior stenting of a coronary artery and need revascularization due to restenosis.

As the first drug-coated balloon to be used in coronary arteries, this is a ground-breaking trial that can impact future therapeutic options. Congratulations, Dr. Neupane!
