About Me
Amanda Cole is a speech-language pathologist who works with patients with acquired neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, concussion, Parkinson’s disease, dementia and other progressive health issues. As a speech pathologist, she treats aphasia, apraxia, dysphagia, dysarthria and cognitive communication disorders. Cole also performs modified barium swallow studies.
Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., with a double major in communication sciences and disorders and Spanish. She completed her master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville and a clinical fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Cole enjoys collaborative goal setting with her patients to develop individualized treatment plans that promote return to work, school and social and household activities. She enjoys the outdoors, going on walks and hikes with her dog, drawing, trying new restaurants with friends and family.
