Physician Bio

Karen earned her doctoral degree in physical therapy at East Carolina University and treats patients of all ages. She uses manual therapy and functional therapeutic exercise to restore normal joint function and lifestyle. In addition, Karen believes education is a critical part of the healing process because it helps patients understand the cause of their pain and how they can manage their symptoms. She serves as an expert resource at many events, including the North Carolina Cheerleading Coaches Conference on Injury Prevention, and as a clinical instructor for Duke University and University of North Carolina physical therapy students.
