To meet the needs of our patients and our community, WakeMed Physician Practices have launched virtual visits with all of our primary care and specialty practices.
As always, WakeMed’s number one priority is the health and safety of our valued patients, and we want to do all we can to keep you healthy and well. Our new virtual visit option allows you to be seen by your WakeMed provider from the comfort of your home. The care you need when you need it.
If you have cold, flu, or potentially COVID-19, a virtual visit with your pediatrician, primary care provider or WakeMed Virtual Urgent Care is a great place to start to get the level of care you need without potentially exposing others or venturing out while you are feeling bad.
With these virtual video visits now available for children and adults, we are ready to care for our community, whether it’s with a virtual visit consult via smartphone or tablet or an in-person visit for emergent needs.
These new virtual care options are especially convenient as our community responds to COVID-19. Video visits allow patients to get the care they need, when they need it. A real-time video visit is a great way to connect directly with your doctor.
Simply call the specialists’ office you are interested in seeing and we will take it from there.
Telehealth visits are for both new and existing patients. All a new patient would need to do is contact the specialists office to get started
Lots of things care can be delivered through video visit, including:
At this time, virtual visits are covered by insurance. No payment will be collected at the time of service, but you will receive a bill later on.
