Yes, the nurse taking my vitals went above and beyond to follow up on my history of blood work from my primary care physician that was done months prior to my visit! She found and provided the information to Dr.Susan B! It really helped the visit to be flawless and precise!

My visit with Ms. Blumenthal was incredible. I was very impressed with her in-depth investigation and knowledge of my medical history and determination to get to the root cause of a recent diagnosed [DX]. Initially she was not sure why Dr. [] order a check for clotting disorder, since I am on [RX]. As soon as I mentioned my daughter had been diagnosed with [] after suffering a stroke, she said that made sense and asked how many pregnancies I had and how many children. My answers convinced her to order blood tests. Told if I had the disorder medication would possibly change as [RX] does not protect breakthroughs as well other meds. She was easy to speak to, listened as I spoke and nerver made me feel rushed. Blood work was done. When results are in she will call and a follow up has been scheduled in [DATE].

I’ve been seeing Susan since 2010 - initially with dr []. When diagnosed with [], I spent much time and effort selecting Dr [] as my oncologist. Honestly, I fear that the practice now acquired by Wakemed will lose much expertise when Dr [] retires and quality of care may decrease and I really, really hope that does not happen! Please Learn from my trusted Dr [] and his staff to put their best “patient first” practices in place. As an example, my first scary appt with Dr [] (after he studied my case) was a 2hr conversation with him detailing all aspects and patiently answering all my questions. It was a Friday afternoon appt that he made available for me. When I walked out, I realized it was like 6pm and everyone had left for the day. Graciousness, intellect, and true caring was what I felt I just received. Support Susan and learn from her since she represents years working at Waverly under Dr []. Thank you.
