Melissa Carlucci, MD, FAAP

Melissa Carlucci, MD, is a pediatric endocrinologist with WakeMed Physician Practices – Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Carlucci earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, and she completed a pediatrics residency and a pediatric endocrinology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina Children’s Hospital. She received a bachelor’s of science and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia.

Her clinical interests include diabetes, growth disorders, puberty disorders and thyroid disorders. Prior to joining WakeMed, she was a pediatric endocrinologist with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger Pediatric Endocrinology and at Pediatric Endocrine Associates in Atlanta.

Dr. Carlucci is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association and the Turner Syndrome Society. She is also a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

When she is not working, she enjoys reading and computers.
