About Me

Dr. Karen Todd is a pediatric specialist with clinical interests in asthma, child abuse and neglect, immunizations, and public health.
After earning her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. Todd completed a pediatric internship at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, and a pediatric residency at Duke University Medical School. She has been a practicing pediatrician in Wake County since 1995. Since 2017, she has also worked as a child medical examiner at SAFEchild Advocacy Center in Raleigh. She completed her Master’s of Public Health at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health.

Dr. Todd has volunteered at Curamericas Global to facilitate maternal and child health care in communities in underserved parts of the world.

“It’s a privilege to partner with parents and families to care for their children. I look forward to problem-solving with parents to help children be the best they can be, healthy at home, at school, and in our community.”

Her personal interests include doing yoga, hiking, and traveling.

The staff that checked us in was very friendly! The doctor didn’t explain anything to me or spend any time consulting with me about my child. The assistant that finalized everything for checkout answered my questions
