The time that Ms. Jessica spent with me, answering my questions and explaining each procedure before she performed it. When I didn't quite understand, she made sure I did by explaining in a different way that I did. Because I am over 80, there were many things I was not familiar with, but she was very patient, gentle and caring. I only wish every doctor was like her, and that the treatment I received at Wake was the same in every office I visited. I felt like an individual, not a number, or just another "old lady".

I was made to feel normal, and safe. My urology health has always been a source of joking and brushed off as nothing. (Not by providers, but family) Ever since I have had memories it’s always been about having the bladder the size of a pea. And forced to hold when physically I cannot. Which caused me tears and pain and embarrassment. I feel as if I was heard for the first time in my life!

Jessica seemed very empathetic with my concerns, and after examination gave me a diagnosis, and followed up with a biopsy. She assured me all along that although my condition is lifelong, it will be treated, and she will follow up with me every 6 months, but sooner if necessary. She is very kind, and spends time for questions, answers, and explanations. All the staff is wonderful.
Dr. Schavone very confident on indicating the cause of my problem and suggesting the solution. She covered everything thoroughly.

I had been a patient of Dr [ ] and was very disappointed that she was no longer with the practice. But I was having a medical issue and needed to be seen. Originally, I wasn’t able to get an appointment for 6 weeks. But I was called later that night and got an appointment the next day! I really appreciated the attention to getting g me in.
Jessica was extremly caring and compassionate as to the issues I am having. I had a great overall experience and am grateful to have found a truly compassionate and understanding provider.
