About Me
Dr. Andrea Crane is a who is board certified in OB/GYN, and earned Diplomate Status within the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Crane received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. She completed her residency at Summa Health System in Akron, OH and her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC, where she received specialized training in comprehensive pelvic reconstruction, da Vinci® robot-assisted sacrocolpopexy, and sacral neuromodulation. Her training includes evaluation and treatment of childbirth trauma, advanced pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, vesicovaginal and rectovaginal fistulae, and mesh complications.
During residency and fellowship, Dr. Crane received many awards including the AUGS Resident Scholars Award, the AAGL Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award, the Best Overall Resident Award, and seven teaching awards. She has been inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Crane has made many national and international presentations in the field of urogynecology. She has published articles in the International Urogynecology Journal, Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of Gynecologic Surgery, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Southern Medical Journal in various topics with a focus on childbirth trauma and robotic surgery.
She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), the American Association for Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA), for which she served as a fellow steering committee member.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Andrea Crane enjoys traveling, playing the guitar, and spending time with her young family. She is also an avid snowboarder.
