I was impressed with the amount of time Dr. Rashid was wlling to spend on an 'annual Medicare physical'. I was expecting something much more perfunctory. I had heard from others (with other doctors) tell how they went through a long list of questions on a prepared document and then were done. This was not what Dr. Rashid did. He conducted a probing discussion with follow-up questions and explanations as he felt necessary. Dr. Rashid was very professional and made me very comfortable during the appointment.

I contacted the desk at Dr. Rashid's office and explained that I was having a medical crisis and needed help from Dr. Rashid desperately. Both the front desk, and subsequently the triage nurse, communicated my situation to Dr. Rashid and they coordinated to enable me visit the office early the next morning. Dr. Rashid was very thorough and compassionate, as always. He examined me, listened to my symptoms, reviewed the MyChart records from my hematologist at Duke Cancer, and logged on to the website for the Blood Connection, to write a referral which enabled me to be treated by phlebotomy the same day. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Rashid and his entire team at Wake Med North.

Yes, Dr. Rashid is by far one of the best medical providers I have had. He is a very good listener and his patience, maturity, and knowledge of subject matter shows during his discourse with patients and in the way he deals with our medical necessities. I had medical issues, the diagnosis of which could have been easily missed, which could have in turn, led to complications but Dr Rashid's thoroughness within the given time slot assigned resulted in a proper diagnosis and alleviation of the issue I was having. I cannot thank him enough for his comprehensiveness.

Dr. Rashid is always and forever a faithful and attentive caregiver. I was very concerned about a new problem I was having. Dr. Rashid ordered urine and blood tests and followed up with me as soon as all the results were posted in my WakeMed MyChart. Dr. Rashid referred me to followup with my GYN to address the symptom. I always ask a lot of questions, and I was so worried when I came in, but Dr. Rashid was so patient - as he always is - to explain the science to me so I understand the WHY behind what he is telling me. It is so refreshing to talk to Dr. Rashid because he respectfully, patiently explains his diagnostic reasoning for his diagnosis. He makes me part of the process, often drawing illustrations and pulling up past imaging and tests results to compare them while he explains. Dr. Rashid is rare - his philosophy for caring for his patients is one that probably can't be replicated. It's just his fiber. It's just who he is.
