Join our team of volunteers

Our volunteers help us improve the health and well-being for all we serve through dedicated philanthropy and community engagement. Volunteers act as ambassadors of WakeMed, lead community and fundraising events, and support the foundation’s philanthropic goals.

Each year, the dollars raised help transform the lives of WakeMed’s patients and their families by supporting healthy environments, innovative programs, and WakeMed’s extraordinary team of caregivers.

For volunteering or event details, please contact Ashley Simpson (ashsimpson@wakemed.org).

WakeMed Gives

Each year, the WakeMed Gives Employee Giving Campaign is an opportunity for WakeMed team members to support each other in a time of need, opportunities to further employee education and well-being, and support innovative ideas and programs. Funds raised during the campaign are designated by the employee donor and are reinvested in WakeMed through programs designed to support peers, patients, and our community.
