History

WakeMed Foundation

WakeMed Foundation formed in 1994 to support the health system’s strategic priorities and focus on addressing the dynamic and growing health care needs of Wake County and the region.

The history of the WakeMed Foundation is an integral part of WakeMed's bold journey in providing outstanding and compassionate care to all. All that we do would not be possible without the time, talents and commitment of dedicated community members, WakeMed Health and Hospital team members and partner organizations.
