Sami Mardam-Bey, MD

Pediatric Orthopaedics

Dr. Sami Mardam-Bey is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, and is trained in both open and arthroscopic hip preservation techniques including periacetabular osteotomy and surgical hip dislocation. His clinical interests include operative and nonoperative treatment of conditions of the spine (scoliosis and spondylolisthesis) and hip (labral tears, hip dysplasia, hip impingement, Perthes disease and slipped capital femoral epiphysis).

Dr. Mardam-Bey was a competitive swimmer from childhood through college. He enjoys taking care of young athletes and understands the challenges of caring for the unique injuries of growing children and adolescents. In his free time, he enjoys golf, skiing, guitar and gardening, and spending time with his wife, daughter and two sons.

3/23/2023 My son is scared of hurting his leg again and he has had some meltdowns and screaming due to his anxieties and other issues but wake med as a whole at the hospital and on Oberlin road didn’t get stressed one bit and were just wonderful through this whole ordeal my family has always received great care from Wake Med and always recommend you to our family and friends
