Transfusion & Infusion Services

WakeMed Cary Hospital’s Medical Day Treatment Unit provides blood transfusion and medication infusion in a dedicated space under the supervision of our experienced nursing staff. The MDTU has the patient’s comfort and convenience in mind.

Services in the MDTU require a physician referral. For more information about specific types of transfusions, infusions and treatments, please contact the MDTU at 919-350-2390.

Hours for the MDTU are 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. Our actual closing hours depend on the duration of the last scheduled infusion or transfusion.
