Meet Our Advanced Practice Providers

Our Heart & Vascular Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) provide team-based medical services under the direction of a supervising physician. APPs include Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Anesthetists and Clinical Nurse Specialists) as well as Physician Assistants. These providers hold master’s and doctoral degrees and are licensed to practice medicine or Advanced Practice Nursing under physician supervision. Our APPs are integral members of the care team, providing specialized and advanced care in virtually all medical and surgical settings. While new WakeMed Heart & Vascular patients are first seen by a physician, their follow-up appointments may be with one of our exceptional APPs.
