The staff at the check in desk were pleasant and helpful. Dr. Wons was very thorough and took time to discuss all of my concerns without seeming like he had to rush off. We made a plan for the next steps to take and I left feeling like all my concerns were addressed. Overall a great experience.
Dr. Wons adjusted my husband’s medication and his BP and pulse are now where they should be. He did not order needless labs and we discussed appropriate care since he has []. He involves me in decisions regarding care.

I have never had a first time visit with a physician who was so familiar with my health as Dr. Wons. He had obviously read my history prior to my initial appointment and was aware of issues with my test results from previous lab results I was not aware of. He pointed out that I had an [...] I wasn’t even aware of. He was very knowledgeable citing new studies recommending a repeat colonoscopy within 7 years as opposed to the 10 years I was planning. I am now scheduling for a repeat colonoscopy! I had selected female physicians in the past but I am now so glad I selected Dr. Wons. He is awesome! I had labwork done and received a WakeMed “My Chart” message from Dr. Wons the very next day at 6:30 am with his comments on the results with recommendations! Needless to say I am “sold” on Dr. Wons and I am so glad I selected him as my personal physician!!

Everyone was helpful and the fact that Dr. wons listened and scheduled me for a few referral. He did have a thought about what was causing the pain. I have seen 3 or4 PA’s or doctors but no one had me take any test or seemed concerned.

The receptionist was prompt and polite both at check-in and check out. I had the same receptionist. The medical assistant who brought me back and gathered my information for the doctor was very kind, pleasant, and thorough. The doctor was very kind, informative, helpful and I really appreciated the diagram and the level of care he took in explaining what is going on with my heartburn. Not many doctors take the time to explain in that detail to make you feel like a patient and not just another number. I really am impressed with the last couple of times being there. The level of care is going back to how it used to be in the 80s where the doctors actually cared about their patients and not just metrics for the hospitals bottom line.
