I was impressed by Dr. Rubin coming to waiting room to get me!! Being a retired nurse, this is definitely not the “norm”! He was helping out the nurses. I’m sure they love to work with him!!
Dr Rubens is a great Dr. he has wonderful “bedside” manners. He is very thorough and takes the time to really listen and asks questions to make sure I understood my next steps for my procedures and my test results. A++++ His nurse Maressa was absolutely amazing! She was so patient with me via emails through MyChart and over the phone. I had an issue at checkout and she listened and made me feel “heard”. I truly wish all nurses (and staff) could be taught by her. Not just at this office but throughout Wake Med. I didn’t have any issues with anyone except the girl at checkout. Everyone else at the office was amazing! Thank you!

They got me in same day. That I appreciate it very much!!! Most of the time when you go to a specialist, they are out weeks or months for an appointment.

This visit, an annual folllow-up ( think), has been like every other visit. Dr. Rubens is gracious, warm, yet oprofessional, efficient but never rushed, and his staff are alol like him.
The support staff were very courteous and helpful when I had scheduling questions. If they did not have an immediate response, they would contact the appropriate person and would promptly reply via cell phone.

Dr Ruebens projected caring and competence. We did not spend much time interacting. He was a calming influence during the procedure. I am very happy that I have not experienced any post-procedure complications. I think the procedure was conducted excellently by Dr. Ruebens My nurse (sorry, I forgot her name) was very compassionate, caring and calming. She seemed to care a lot about my comfort and nervousness. The nurses have also been caring and compassionate when dealing with me over the phone for scheduling. I appreciate them all very much. I felt her calming effect was excellent. I feel the nurses who called me back about scheduling were excelent.
