Please reference the map below to learn more about parking and where orientation takes place.

Orientation Schedule
Attendance at orientation is required

  • Please plan to arrive by 7:45 to have your ID badge photo taken
  • Supplemental employees will be released at 3:30 pm
  • Please complete all new hire paperwork online prior to orientation
  • Lunch will be provided by WakeMed Catering Services

What to Bring
Please bring the following to your orientation day:

  • Copies of your immunization records that we can keep
  • Original, unexpired identification to establish your identity and employment eligibility (please refer to the I-9 Employment Eligibility Instruction Page located in the New Hire Portal)
  • Professional license or certification if required for your position
  • Voided check or savings deposit slip (required for direct deposit of your paycheck) if not already provided

Important: On the attached documents, type your name as your electronic signature exactly as it is printed on your current social security card, even if your name has changed and you have not received your new card, and even if you go by another name.

What to Wear
Professional attire is expected at WakeMed, including on orientation day. Jeans, shorts, crop tops, flip flops, etc. are not acceptable.

Because of the diversity of duties and activities performed at WakeMed, dress requirements and uniforms may differ among departments. If a uniform is being provided for you, your manager will help coordinate this process before you begin work. In keeping with our dress code policy, where scrub uniforms are required (and not provided), scrubs should be solid red, black or gray (solid white is not allowed) or a professional-looking, printed combination of red, black, gray and white.

If you have questions about your department’s attire expectations, please speak with your supervisor.
