Children's Rehabilitation Hospital

We care for pediatric inpatients where they want to be — with other kids their own age. The WakeMed Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital provides comprehensive, patient- and family-centered care for children, adolescents and teens who have experienced spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic issues/multiple fractures, amputation and stroke. WakeMed Rehabilitation is nationally recognized for outstanding patient outcomes and expertise. Located on the Raleigh Campus, the WakeMed Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital is located in the WakeMed Children’s Hospital.

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL

This kid-friendly inpatient rehab hospital unit includes five private rooms and a
pediatric rehab gym. Children and adolescents receive the medical care
they need to restore their health and the physical, occupational and
speech therapy they need to return to life! Plus, kids and parents have
access to all the unique pediatric support services and spaces in the
Children’s Hospital.

• Nourishment Area 

The Ronald McDonald House at WakeMed offers a comfortable place to
stay in the hospital and a support system for families facing difficult
medical situations. In addition, a Ronald McDonald Family Room is
located right in the Children’s Hospital. It offers families a place to rest, do
laundry, grab a bite to eat and use their computer all while staying close
to their child.

Rehab is a secure unit for the safety of our young patients.
