Cold and Flu Season Can Be a Monster

Flu & Cold Season Can Be A Monster

Help us protect our patients, families and staff from RSV and the flu by following these visitation restrictions currently in effect.

  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

The Volunteers at WakeMed Raleigh Campus and The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital give back in so many ways, including hosting various fundraisers in support of WakeMed services and programs. Some of the fundraising activities include:

Blossoms for Life

Blossoms for Life is a special program developed by The Volunteers at WakeMed Cary Hospital. This year-round fundraiser offers individuals the opportunity to honor or memorialize a friend or family member.  It is a unique way to:

  • Say thank you for care you received
  • Remember a loved one
  • Celebrate the birth of a child, an anniversary, graduation, birthday or other special event

As a symbol of your gift, the name of the person you wish to honor will be placed in the Blossoms for Life Book of Memory or Book of Honor, found in the Volunteer Services office. Your name and those being honored will also be displayed on the donor plaque located in the Cary Hospital Conference Center.

All gifts are used to fund programs and services throughout the hospital. For more information, call the Volunteer office at 919-350-2363.
