  • No visitors under the age of 12 are allowed in patient care areas.
  • Please do not visit patients if you are experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea or cold or flu-like symptoms.

Install VMware Horizon Client for Microsoft Windows Users

1) While logged into your computer as an administrator, browse to and click “View Client for Windows”. This will launch VMware’s website.

2) On VMware’s website, click “Go to Downloads” under “VMware Horizon Client for Windows”. Be sure to select 32-bit or 64-bit to match your operating system’s architecture.

3) Click “Download”.

4) Click “Run” on the banner that pops up along the bottom of the window. You may get a User Access Control prompt. If so, click “Yes”.

5) Click “Next” on the Welcome screen.

6) Click the checkbox next to “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” and click “Next”.

7) Select “IPv4” and click “Next”.

8) On the “Custom Setup” screen, click the box next to “Log in as current user” and select “Entire feature will be unavailable”. Click “Next”.

9) Enter as the “Default Horizon Connection Server”. Click “Next”.

10) On the “Configure Shortcuts” screen, click “Next”.

11) Click “Install”.

12) Click “Finish”. You may be prompted to reboot.

13) Double-click the “” cloud icon.

14) Enter your WakeMed credentials on the “Login” screen.

15) Select a virtual desktop pool. Most staff will only be presented with one option.

16) When you’re finished with your session, click “Options” => “Disconnect and Log off”. Click “OK” at the prompt.
