Dr. Michele Snyder is a board-certified neonatologist who has been with WakeMed Physician Practices - Neonatology since 1999.

After receiving her medical degree from West Virginia University (WVU) in Morgantown, W. Va., Dr. Snyder completed her pediatric residency at WVU in Charleston, W. Va., and her neonatal-perinatal fellowship at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C. She earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va.

Dr. Snyder is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the AAP Section on Perinatal Pediatrics, the North Carolina Pediatric Society and the Southeastern Association of Neonatologists. She is medical director of the WakeMed Cary Hospital Special Care Nursery.
